PAD 1.3; PAD 1.3 INV Payment wall machine for door opening

PAD series machines (hereinafter referred to as PAD) are used for unlocking (unlocking) doors or turnstiles, allowing coin, contactless or mobile (NFC) payments. PADs are equipped with electronics with the possibility of connecting remote support (for a fee) with extended functions – e.g. data collection, transaction reports, graphical outputs, sending informative emails, error messages and others. The type of payment terminal depends on the agreement between the bank and the user, so it is not included. The payment terminal is supplied by the user. The type of payment terminal is Ingenico Self 2000. Internet connection required for full functionality.

The PAD machine has applications in places where the entrance door needs to be opened for a fee, e.g. unattended toilet payment. By dropping a specified value into the machine or paying with a credit card, the electric lock is unlocked and the door can be opened. When paying by coins, the machine counts the coins dropped in up to the set value to allow entry (also different coin values). The machine accepts two currencies, CZK and € as standard. Currencies cannot be combined within one payment. When paying by credit card, the machine uses a contactless payment terminal to deduct the set amount from the payer’s account.

The machine is also available in the PAD 1.3 INV version, which is also extended with a Euro key for free entry of disabled persons.

The PAD can be set to two functional modes:

  • no door lock – this setting is used if there is an automatic controlled common entrance to the social facilities and the door is opened every time the required amount of money is deposited
  • with door blocking – this setting is used if the entrance to 1 cabin is controlled by the machine and in case of its occupation the entrance must be blocked.

Upon request, the machine can be equipped with PAD:

  • RFID card reader with the possibility of attaching RFID card functions – free/employee entry, cash withdrawal and batch closure.

Payment card terminal

The PAD terminal operator must communicate with their bank what type of payment terminal their bank supports. The type is pre-prepared for Ingenico Self 2000. Each bank supports a different type and it is necessary to specify the specific type of payment terminal before ordering. It is therefore necessary to clarify the terms and conditions with the operator’s own bank in advance to get the machine up and running. According to the provided documents, we will prepare for the installation of the payment terminal in the machine. The terminal will be supplied by the user and delivered to the AZP headquarters. AZP will install and commission the payment terminal with the specific type of PAD series machine. Subsequently, the installation company will install the machine in the operator’s premises. The fees associated with the actual operation of the terminal depend on the conditions of individual banks and are not included in the delivery of the machine.
