AUP 33 (SUBWAY ceramics produced by Villeroy - Boch) is a ceramic bowl urinal with automatic flushing device and cover designed especially to bathrooms in both homes and hotels. The APU 32 automatic bowl urinal is designed for toilettes where user comfort and hygiene are required together with economic use of water.

The electronics scans and assesses processes in the trap and upon the result it directs the device to flush. Only one litre is enough to flush the bowl urinal. If somebody approaches the bowl urinal without using it, the control electronics does not react. It prevents needless flushing in the case of incidental short-term entrance (passing by the bowl urinal, etc.). After 24 hours of no activity, the bowl urinal automatically flushes.

Construction of the flushing system allows easy installation comprising only connection and suspension of the ceramics on prepared wall. As all elements are incorporated in the ceramics, the flushing system is protected against mechanical injury, both incidental and intentional. The bowl urinal does not contain any optical elements; therefore it removes disadvantages of sensor technology such as soiling or damaging of scanning diodes and their poor dark colour sensitivity.

Due to the cover use of the bowl urinal is not suitable for public toilettes.
